This one hurts right in my childhood.

Peter Sallis, British actor known as the voice of Wallace from the stop-motion cartoon “Wallace & Gromit”, has passed away. Had it not been for this cartoon, I probably wouldn’t have an appreciation for stop-motion or claymation films. My favorite Wallace & Gromit film is The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. It’s a very lighthearted, humorous kids movie. Even as an adult, I STILL find this filmmaking me laugh over the tiniest things, such as Wallace’s obsession with cheese (I can’t blame him!). Sallis made Wallace a warm character. Despite his over-idealistic nature, he is a determined inventor who just wanted his creations to succeed. If anything, I loved him for his sense of adventure. You’re never too old for one.

R.I.P Peter Sallis (1921-2017)
